Last One!

To all,
Well, we had a fabulous week! I haven't been real good about updating the whole thing, but we are teaching a lot of people right now and in the last two weeks we have had 3 baptisms. All of which are just incredible people. I am just so happy for everyone. This last saturday, we had 2 baptisms. I was so happy for both of them. They are such good friends.
I have had three other companions this last transfer. Needless to say things have been a little hectic around here haha. But we have had so much fun together. And we have truly accomplished a lot! So many people have been influenced by our work here. The ward is just fabulous and we receive so much help from the ward and the ward mission. It truly was a functioning ward mission that really got things going here in the San Antonio 8th ward. So much sacrifice and dedication from us as a ward mission has brought about so much good here.
I am so grateful to be a missionary, it has truly felt as if I am living a dream right now. I have been wanting to serve a mission so bad and now you blink and I have to make a new dream haha. Luckily the mission helps with that new dream. That and the scriptures. Well I am so grateful as well to you all and I appreciate your love, support, and friendship! I will see y'all later!! Love you.

Last Transfer

To all, Things are going real well here. Crazy things happened at transfers. So Elder Brook and I are going to get 2 new companions, Elder Yates and Elder Isaac. This transfer it will be really fun! 2 of us at a time will now be out in the mission going around to as many companionships as possible to help them progress in the missionary work! The other two will just stay here in the area and work like normal as well with the the other normal Assistant duties. We will rotate each week! So cool huh?! It is pretty exciting!

so this is what was sent to me. Not sure I understand it all but at least he is feeling better. The week before last he was really sick - flu, I guess, even ended up in an urgent care. I don't hear much about him coming home but from what I read, the focus is still very much the mission.
Thanks for sticking with us.

To all,
Hello to all! Well, things have been going real great! The work
here in the north side of San Antonio is doing well, my companion and
I are working hard and well together. He is a great guy and a lot of
fun.
The mission has taught me so much about how to become better.
Lately I have been focusing on becoming a tougher, smarter and more
focused missionary to allow me to complete my greater goals. I think
that is so vital in our lives. That first we set goals and do things
that will help us to become better. Then we make the necessary
adjustments in life so that we are physically, mentally, emotionally
and spiritually ready to accomplish meet the goal. During this process
you measure your progress toward the goal. You will see personal
growth and will always be able to accomplish more in life.
I love you all and would like to tell Josh Duricka that I love you and that I really look up to you. You are
a great example of who I want to become. Hang in there and keep on
smiling.

Busy- Wow!

Tommy sent me a short email but it sounds like I was lucky to get this.

"This has been a real good week... very very very very very busy. But very very very very very good. We had so many things to be worrying about and so many things that needed to be done, it was tough to focus as the week winded down, but we did! It felt really good. We had 4 Zone Conferences this week. 2 here in San Antonio, and 2 in Austin. We had to give the same hour long workshop training at each one. And we had to make sure that the agendas were made up and then that everything ran smooth. Then on top of all that, most importantly we had to keep track of our area and our investigators there. We did real well though. It was great! We met a lot of friends in the mission. It was a lot of fun."

Valentine's Week

Hello to all,
Well, good news is I am completely exhausted. Just a lot of great things always happening! I love serving a mission for so many different reasons! I am not sure if I have ever felt more accomplished or successful in life, doing anything else. I, and I think we all, strive to find that in our lives. I would have never thought that it would have been by such means that I could feel that way. And you definitely don't have to serve a full time mission to feel that way. It comes by making conscious decisions that are in harmony with the gospel of Christ. Making decisions that further us in the path to heaven. The gift and blessing from God is that He encourages us to continue by helping us feel so accomplished and blessed as we make those correct decisions. I am so happy to have a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For the image I have of myself, having entered into the gate and advancing along the path that Nephi explains in chapter 31 of the book of 2 Nephi. It brings me much peace and comfort. I love you all and pray that we all take more steps this week along the path together.

Magic In Texas

Hello to all,
Well this week was a lot of fun! Another transfer is ready to go
and this week is the week that the magic happens! So It will be a lot
of fun, actually these next few weeks are pretty busy. But I will get
to see a lot of the mission! So it should be good!! We have some
incredible investigators here. This area is magical. So many great
people, I think it is actually just a Texas thing. Everything is nicer
here ;)
No but things really are so good right now! I am loving the mission
life! I have loved the last few months because of the experience I
have gained and it really has helped me become a more confident
missionary. I still have so much to learn but it has been so
incredible to see my effectiveness grow as I have gained experience.
Hope all is well and continue to work hard!
